Consultation - Dudley Borough's Draft Alcohol Strategy Print E-mail
The key aim of the Alcohol Strategy is to reduce the impact of alcohol misuse on individuals, families and communities enabling them to live healthy, prosperous and safe lives

The Strategy is being developed in line with the National Alcohol Strategy - Safe, Sensible, Social (2007) and the Youth Alcohol Action Plan (2008) by the Alcohol Strategy Group, which has multi-agency representation.

The draft Strategy has previously been distributed to a number of groups for comments and feedback.

Further additions to the Strategy will include: -
• Work in respect of Sexual Assault Referral Centres
• Evidence of work that is being undertaken in line with the 7 High Impact Changes highlighted by the Department of Health
• Demonstration of work that is being undertaken in respect of alcohol misuse and reducing teenage conceptions

The Alcohol Strategy Group welcomes your comments and feedback on the draft Alcohol Strategy. Please e-mail comments to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it by Thursday 26th November 2009.

The aim is for the Alcohol Strategy to start going through the more formal decision making process on Monday 7th December and if agreed it will then go to Dudley’s Cabinet in February 2010.

The Strategy will be updated and reviewed on a regular basis with the first refresh scheduled for April 2011.
